Adnoc Distribution has announced the retail price of its Smart Tag and Adnoc Plus payment tokens available to Adnoc Wallet account holders. Starting  March 1, 2016, the company will retail the Smart Tag at Dh250, while the Adnoc Plus card will be available to customers for Dh50.

Prior to the roll out of the seven-month pilot phase of the Adnoc Smart service, the company also invites customers to subscribe for the Adnoc Wallet by visiting the website adnocdistribution[dot]ae/smart and following the simple registration process.

In the run up to this deadline, Adnoc Distribution is offering complimentary Smart Tags to the first 5,000 customers opting to experience the service and register for an Adnoc Wallet account. In addition to receiving free Adnoc Plus cards, the early customers to register will also have their Emirates ID cards linked to their Adnoc Wallet accounts and activated for free.

Adnoc Wallet allows customers to pay for their purchases at participating service stations in three different ways: via the Smart Tag (a smart chip installed at the fuel inlet of the vehicles’ fuel tank and linked to the Adnoc Wallet account), the Adnoc Plus cards, or via their ID cards that are also linked to the Adnoc Wallet and activated for payments. The smart payment solutions are aimed at providing customers with added conveniences and safety, enabling them to manage their accounts from anywhere, at any time via tablets or mobiles.

Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of Adnoc Distribution, said, "Adnoc SMART service allows customers to benefit from our technologically advanced infrastructure and experience self-refuelling in a fast, easy and safe environment when they visit one of our smart service stations."

The seven-month pilot phase of the Adnoc Smart service will run in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi from March 1 to October 1, 2016. The pilot phase will cover four service stations located on Abu Dhabi Island and allow customers to try out self-refueling using latest technologies and also benefit from varied payment methods.
