Gold hits three-month high as investors boost safe-haven demand

Bullion climbs above $4,627 an ounce, while silver, platinum and palladium edge lower

Capitals: Gold prices rose to their highest level in more than three months on Monday, supported by continued investor demand for the precious metal.

US gold futures also moved higher, rising 0.1% to $4,683.80 per ounce.

The latest gains reinforce gold's position as a preferred safe-haven asset amid ongoing uncertainty in global financial markets.

Among other precious metals:

  • Silver fell 0.3% to $68.76 per ounce
  • Platinum declined 0.5% to $1,868.03 per ounce
  • Palladium slipped 0.3% to $1,345.87 per ounce

The rise in gold prices comes after a strong rally in recent weeks, pushing the metal to its highest level in more than three months.
