Both the popular Android-based smartphones that were released in the UAE market just three days ago have already run out of stock. Retailers also told Emirates 24|7 yesterday that the enquiries for HTC One are better than that for the Samsung Galaxy S4.
A retailer at the Samsung showroom in Dubai mall last evening said. “We had about 300 units on the first day. All of them were sold out within the first few hours.”
When asked when we could expect fresh stocks she said, “You will have to wait for at least two weeks. Keep calling us every day and you might be lucky on one of the days,” he added.
According to staff at Sharaf DG fresh stocks of Samsung Galaxy S4 are expected either today or day after. “You can also pre-book the phone by paying Dh100. It is better to pre-book, or else you might not be able to get one this time as well,” the staff warned.
Another retailer at Jacky’s said both HTC One and the Galaxy S4 are witnessing massive interest among customers. “Today alone we had so many people coming up and requesting for the new models. We are witnessing marginally more interest for the HTC One,” he added.
With both the HTC One and the Galaxy S4 releasing almost simultaneously, every one is comparing the two models.
HTC One is priced at Dh2,699 and priced Dh100 more than the latest Samsung smart phone. Both the phones are feature-rich, and one will have to wait and watch if the HTC One’s much better design would help it win over its South Korean rival.
