Ministry of Infrastructure Development to implement three projects worth Dh171m

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development is carrying out three vital projects in the Emirates of Sharjah and Umm al-Qaiwain, including two projects for the Ministry of Interior and one project for the Ministry of Justice, at a total cost of AED171 million.

The ministry highlighted that the engineering designs for the three projects were prepared according to the standards for green buildings and sustainability.

The construction of the headquarters of the special security forces "Unit 2" in Seeh Al Mahab in Al Dhaid, Sharjah, estimated to cost Dh69 million, has begun, the ministry revealed, adding that it was expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

The other project, which is being built for the Ministry of Interior, includes the construction of a building for UAE nationalities and residents in the emirate of Umm al-Qaiwain, which is estimated to cost around Dh57 million and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development has begun work on the Khorfakkan Court Building project in Sharjah, which is estimated to cost some Dh45 million and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of next year. It covers an area of about 16,506 square metres.
