Dubai Police exhibit smart services at IDEX 2017

The Dubai Police General HQ, represented by the General Department of Smart Services, is participating in “The International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX 2017”, which is held from 19-23 February 2017, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre-ADNEC. The participation is to exhibit the achievements and smart services provided by the Dubai Police.

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, General Director of Smart Services Department, made it clear that this Exhibition witnesses the participation of Arab and International companies, in the field of arms and military electronic systems and smart services. Dubai Police is keen to be present in the smart platforms and strengthen its orientation, in the field of smart services and systems provided, to the public. It offers virtual games and applications that support policing and awareness for the community. Dubai Police is the first government entity, in the region, to develop such type of applications and programs.

Lt. Colonel, Dr. Mansour Nasser Alrazooqi, Director of Virtual Technology Center, revealed the facts that the “Shooting Training Program” is a virtual educational program. It aims to develop the skills of the trainees, in the field of shooting, in an effective way and in a safe environment that simulate the real situations, using an electronic weapon and a virtual reality glasses. The program is enough for the requirements of different tasks that necessitate speed and accuracy using weapon to face safety situations. Those tasks require. Through the program, the trainees earn the skills that reflect, positively, on the results of practical training, in the shortest possible time, and enhances the interaction with realistic training, in addition to the reduce of the expenses of training realism.
