A multi-million road project initiated by Economic Zones World (EZW) in September 2012 at TechnoPark is moving ahead as per schedule.

The road project, on completion, will be serving more than 2.7 million square metre business development comprising offices, industrial facilities and on-site staff accommodations at the region’s upcoming technology centre. The road network project is part of Economic Zones World’s broader plan to develop and position TechnoPark as an innovation and technology driven business and industrial hub.

Salma Ali Saif bin Hareb, CEO, EZW, the parent company of TechnoPark, said: “The initiative is part of EZW’s concerted efforts to develop and position TechnoPark as a unique centre where innovative ideas and technology can work together to bring the country’s aspiration of becoming a true knowledge economy to life. Having right infrastructure in place is an important step forward in that direction.”

The project, on completion, will enhance TechnoPark’s overall connectivity. The upcoming road network will provide TechnoPark customers’ direct access to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, enhancing their ability to move their goods, across the UAE and the region, more efficiently and at the fastest pace.

The road infrastructure project is scheduled to complete towards the year-end. 50 percent work on the project is already done.

TechnoPark is the Economic Zones World’s research and development initiative in core economic sectors, including Energy, Water and Environment. It focuses on nurturing business ideas and new technologies in various fields, which could be quickly translated into real-world industrial operations. TechnoPark is currently home to a large number of technology focused multi-nationals such as Nestle, BASF, Baker Hughes, Pacific Control, Metito and many others.
