Al Khaja Group, the UAE-based well-diversified conglomerate, is expanding its retail portfolio by adding two new brands under its portfolio and plans to open more stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with an investment of Dh6.4 million.

Omar Sharaf, Sports Fashion Brand Manager at Al Khaja Group, said the group will be opening two stores in Abu Dhabi for its new franchise Y-3 and Porsche Design.

“We have two new sportswear and lifestyle brands which we are going to open in Abu Dhabi. We have Porsche Design and Y-3 by Adidas and we will open one outlet for each brand with an investment to the tune of Dh2.5 million,” Sharaf said.

The group currently operates 45 outlets under its six franchise brands. Al Khaja Group has interests in retail, hospitality, interior, IT, consultancy and real estate sectors.

He said the group is also expanding Tom Tailor outlets in the UAE and aims to double from currently three to six by the end of next year.

“Now we are focused on Tom Tailor. We have two stores in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. We will open one in store in December 2014 in Abu Dhabi and by 2015-end we will have around 6 stores in total in UAE,” Sharaf added.

The retailer, Sharaf said, will invest Dh4 million in these new Tom Tailor stores.
