Child crushed to death by lift

A five-year-old boy from Niger was crushed to death after his body was trapped by the lift door while moving in a four-level building in Saudi Arabia, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

 

Civil defence men struggled to pull the body out of the lift that stopped between two floors after the boy was caught.

 

“The boy was trapped between the inner and outer part of the lift while moving…police are investigating the incident and have repeated calls on parents not to allow their children to use lifts on their own,” Alriyadh said in a report from the central town of Makkah.
