Dubai World Central (DWC), the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis, has announced that it will be extensively showcasing real estate investment opportunities available at DWC for investors from around the world, during its participation in Cityscape Global.

The major property investment conference runs in Dubai from October 8 to 10, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

DWC revealed that, in particular, it will highlight the numerous opportunities in the Residential, Logistics and Aviation Districts, given the rapid pace of developments taking place in these districts.

The Residential District for instance is already being served with all the major services and DWC has constructed and commissioned 132/11kV electrical substations which have been handed over to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) for final connections to tenants.

Dewa, which has started to lay the final distribution cables to supply power to the buildings immediately, is also proceeding with providing water supply to completed buildings in the Residential District. DWC has also constructed and commissioned district cooling plants to supply chilled water for air-conditioning in the buildings.

Moreover, the main access road to the Residential District has been completed, conveniently connecting the district to the new Emirates Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and to Al Maktoum International Airport.

DWC also noted that the demand for residential accommodation is increasing steadily within the development as a result of the rapidly growing business activities in the Logistics District and Aviation District, and in Al Maktoum International Airport. DWC is also encouraging investors in the Residential District to commence development of their buildings, assuring them of total support and assistance from DWC in terms of infrastructure and facilities, to ensure comfortable living for the occupants.

The Logistics District on the other hand is also seeing the development of agent warehouses spread across an area of almost 8,700 square meters, in addition to the logistics park, comprising warehouses, offices and amenities. Currently, there are 40 companies operating in the Logistics District with more than 10,000 employees, creating the need for innovative and comprehensive solutions to meet staff accommodation requirements.

Another key real estate element that will be highlighted during DWC’s participation at Cityscape Global will be the hospitality projects, which will cater to the requirements of airport passengers. Around two million travellers are estimated to pass through the passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport by 2014, and this number is expected to reach 30 million by 2023. This will also require the support of at least 30,000 employees.

This year’s Cityscape Global holds extreme significance for Dubai World Central given the array of real estate investment opportunities it has to offer, especially in the Residential, Aviation and Logistics Districts. During the course of the three-day event, DWC plans to meet the entire real estate business chain and discuss in detail the next phase in its future developments. DWC will also be highlighting the numerous distinct features that make it a one-of-a-kind project in the region, right from the aerotropolis concept to the world-class infrastructure and the unique ability to offer seamless sea-air transport logistics.

Cityscape Global will serve as the right platform for DWC to promote the aerotropolis concept, and reaffirm how this is being considered as a major development model of this century. Further, the passenger terminal at DWC’s Al Maktoum International Airport will commence operations this October. DWC will also be the venue for this year’s Airshow taking place in November and The Expo 2020 which Dubai is eyeing to host.

During Cityscape Global, DWC will shed light on its business aviation facilities at the Aviation District which is steadily attracting major industry players from around the world. Several companies such as direct operators Jetex and XJet have already announced plans to establish their headquarters at DWC, while DC Aviation Al Futtaim will soon commence operations from its new facility at the Aviation District.
