Kuwait seizes 6,000 imported liquor bottles

Kuwaiti police seized 6,000 liquor bottles brought into the emirate’s Shuaiba port from another Gulf country within a medical supplies shipment.

Police, acting on a tip-off, searched the shipment on arrival at the port and found 500 boxes containing 6,000 bottles of alcoholic drinks, according to newspapers. They quoted a police spokesman as saying the shipment had originated from another Gulf country and imported by a local dealer wanted by the police.
