147 capsules of heroin weighing 1.2kg were found in the stomach of a passenger who arrived at Dubai airport. (File)
A Pakistani visitor was arrested for carrying in his stomach 149 capsules that contained 1.2kg of heroin, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
MS, 24, arrived at Dubai International Airport on May 25 at around 2.30am.
Customs officer Abdullah Obaid suspected him as he looked scared and confused.
Checking him, capsules were found in his stomach, so he was referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department.
His colleague Majed Ali repeated corroborative testimony saying that when confronted, the accused admitted to swallowing capsules containing heroin.
The accused released 149 capsules that contained 1.2kg of heroin.
The Court will give its verdict on October 29.
