16-month-old baby falls from 2nd floor in Abu Dhabi

A 16-month-old Syrian boy suffered serious injuries after falling through the window from his second floor apartment in Abu Dhabi, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

The mother told police she was with her son and then left him for three minutes before she came before to find he had vanished.

“I went to the kitchen only for three minutes…when I returned, he was not there..I looked through the window and saw him lying down there with his toy car next to him,” the woman told police, according to the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej.

The woman, who lives on Salam Street in the capital, said she had not expected the baby to reach the window on the ground he cannot walk.

Medical sources said the boy had received treatment and his condition has started to stabilize.
