3 drug dealers jailed in RAK, 1 acquitted

A Ras Al Khaimah Court of Appeals sentenced a drug dealer to life in prison and two of his accomplices to 10 years in jail after they were caught smuggling narcotics into the emirate from another country.

The court acquitted a fourth defendant of all charges after he was sentenced to 10 years in jail by a court of first instance.

RAK police arrested two of the defendants after they entered the Northern emirate from another country in a car laden with drugs.

The two confessed to possessing drugs and guided police to two other accomplices, according to newspapers, which did not identify the four.
