Police arrested a gang of four men accused of possessing illegal Tramadol and ‘spice,’ reports Al Ittihad newspaper.
On July 18 police officers intercepted a Toyota Innova near a grocery store in the Hamdan area. The operation trapped two Asians and two GCC nationals —one of whom has criminal records.
The police received confirmed information of two Asians, identified as AA and AM, both aged 20 possessing a large quantity of drugs and also consuming them.
Tramadol tablets stashed in different parts of the car was seized with any medical prscription.
Forensic reports suggest that AA had consumed hashish and Tramadol.
AA confessed possessing the pills and that he got them from SM, 34, an unemployed Asian with a GCC citizenship.
The police then lured SM and ambushed him at the very place they had seized the duo.
The fourth suspect was also caught who had escorted him in his car. He was identified as HM, 32 an unemployed married man.
Investigations revealed that HM was the mastermind of the gang’s activities. Anti-narcotics officers seized a large quantity of Tramadol tablets after they searched his apartment in Al Warqa.
