4 years and 80 lashes for drug addict

A criminal court in Abu Dhabi sentenced a man to four years in jail and ordered him lashed 80 times after he was convicted of having drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The court also fined the unnamed defendant Dh2,000 for drunk driving and Dh1,000 for damaging public property in an accident.
