551 vehicles seized, 2,820 fines issued during National Day

Abu Dhabi Police seized 551 vehicles for violating rules during the

National Day celebrations between November 30 and December 5, reported 'Al Khaleej'. 

Brigadier Hussain Ahmad Al Harthy, Director, Department of Traffic and Patrols, said a total of 2,820 tickets were issued during the period. 399 tickets were slapped against motorists for making noise and creating nuisance; 219 motorists were fined for putting stickers without permission on their vehicles; 56 for endangering public safety and 1,063 for not adhearing to traffic signals.

The impounded vehicles will incur a fine of Dh2,000 and 12 black points.
