7 million fake Indian rupees seized in Ajman

Ajman’s police arrested an Asian man trying to circulate more than seven million fake Indian rupees in the emirate, reports said on Wednesday.

The unnamed man had already sold nearly four million fake 500 notes for Dh130,000 and was trying to circulate the remaining sum, Alkhaleej daily said.

Police searching his house, car and shop found more 500 fake rupee notes and said the man confessed to his crime. The paper quoted police as saying the man is staying in the UAE illegally and had brought a total 7.29 million fake rupees.
