7 years for stealing Dh2.4m

A criminal court in Dubai sentenced two men to seven years in prison and ordered their deportation from the UAE for stealing Dh2.4 million.

The two had been convicted of forging the signature of a company owner and withdrawing the funds from the company’s bank account.

The owner of the company, identified as ALA, said one businessman and a credit manager at the bank stole the money by using his signature they had copied from his computer and sending it to the bank by fax.
