775 offenders arrested in Sharjah last month

Sharjah Police arrested 775 people for various offences in November 2014.

The offences included illegal entry and stay in UAE, escaping from sponsor, returning to UAE after deportation, begging and engaging in illegal activities.

Colonel Jihad Saeed Bin Sahoo, director of the Department of Criminal Investigation of Sharjah Police, said majority of offenders were arrested for living in abandoned buildings and workshops near construction sites and engaging in illegal activities at these places.

Col. Sahoo said Sharjah Police would continue its campaign against such offenders.
