7kg of heroin seized in Dubai, worth Dh525,000

710 capsules of heroin weighing about 7kg and worth about Dh525,000 were seized from two Asians in the Muhaisna area of Dubai.

A 57-year-old truck driver was arrested while taking delivery of a plastic bag containing heroin capsules from the other person.

Police had got a tip-off that a large quantity of heroin was to change hands in the Muhaisna area for storing.

The second suspect tried to escape but was found hiding in a parked truck.
