Airport staff accused of stealing mobile
A security personnel at the Dubai International Airport attempted to steal a mobile phone of a passenger who had forgotten it in the blue tray, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
According to the accusation sheet on September 12, at around 10am, HK, Ugandan, 24, asked a passenger to put all his metal stuff in the blue tray in order to pass through the check point as the CCTV showed, testified First policeman Abdullah Hussain.
The passenger did so and after passing he collected his stuff and forgot his mobile phone in the tray. Another passenger passed the check point and after finishing he pointed to HK about something in the tray.
HK took the tray and put it together with another one then he took other two trays and gave them to his colleague then he went back to his work, he testified.
HK confessed to taking the mobile phone when confronted by the police saying that he wanted to use it.
