American died of overdose of anti-depressant

The cause of death of an American businessman, Tom G Anderson, was due to overdose of anti-depressant medication, according to the findings of the Forensic Laboratory in the General Department of Criminal Evidence and Criminology of Dubai police.

Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander in chief of Dubai Police said, the results showed criminal suspicion behind the death of the American. His death was caused by an overdose of anti-depressant and other medicines used to treat schizophrenia.

Lt Tamim explained that on the fateful night, a team from the Dubai Department of Criminal investigation rushed to the 18th floor at the Gloria Hotel after receiving a tip-off that the hotel management had discovered the body of an American guest after trying to contact him for more than two hours.

He added, "After entering the room, the police found the 35-year-old American businessman lying on the bed."

The police transported the body and the results of the forsenic lab confirmed that the death of Anderson was due to an overdose of pharmaceutical products.
