Sharjah Police arrested a Pakistani beggar with Dh30,000. He managed to collect this amount during Ramadan.
Several residents had complained to cops about the young man who knocked at their door seeking alms.
Acting on a tip-off, cops rushed to the area and caught him red-handed, when they found Dh30,000 in his pocket.
Initial investigations revealed that he was staying in the country illegally after his residence visa expired. He told cops that he decided to beg after he lost his job.
He sent the money collected to his family in Pakistan.
