Bracelet snatcher sent to jail for 3 months
A painter was sentenced to three months in jail after a Dubai court convicted him of approaching a beauty salon in Karama and snatching a gold bracelet from the neck of a staffer who opened the door for him.
On February 5 at around 10am, AJ, 44, Filipina, hairdresser, was in alone the salon when MA knocked at the door. “When I opened the door, MA asked me about my boss and when I told him that she is not in, he snatched my gold bracelet that I was wearing and ran away. I informed my boss who lodged a complaint with the police,” the victim told investigators.
According to the records, MA, 41, was assigned by the salon’s owner to do some maintenance work. However, a couple of days after he started working, a dispute arose and he was asked not to continue the maintenance work.
“He worked in a maintenance company nearby,” the salon’s owner told police.
After about fifteen minutes, the accused came to his employer’s office and he was arrested.
MA admitted to his crime.
