A Saudi man who finally decided to marry his long-standing fiancée got the shock of his life when she demanded that he first marry her three friends. Once he overcame his shock, he agreed to her demand.

The unnamed man from the western Saudi town of Taif had thought his fiancée, a school teacher, was joking when she told him that he must marry her three school colleagues before she agrees to marry him.

But he quickly realised the woman was serious when she introduced him to the three women and asked him to marry all of them at the same time.

“He later accepted her demand and married the three, who rented three apartments for their marriage life…the three decided to cooperate to please their husband by meeting every night alternately at each flat to tidy up, cook and wash his clothes,” Kabar Arabic language daily said.

The report did not make clear if the man went ahead and married his fiancée.

Boy accidentally kills little sister while chasing dog

A teenage Saudi boy accidentally killed his two-year-old sister and wounded his younger brother while using a machine gun to chase a mad dog.

After seeing the dog in the area, the 14-year-old boy rushed to his father’s room and brought the machine gun to kill the animal.

“He opened fire but the bullets struck his little sister and killed her instantly…another bullet wounded his 11-year-old brother, who was rushed to hospital,” Alsaudeh daily said in a report from the western town of Taif.

Teacher moved to another school after death

When Saudi education authorities enquired why a teacher moved to a new school has not yet started work, they were shocked to learn that the teacher is dead. They later found out that they issued the transfer decision four months after the teacher was killed in a road accident.

The teacher had requested transfer to another school in the southern town of Khamis Mushait nearly a year ago but his request was approved last week.

“The list of teachers provided to the education department by that school did not include the name of that teacher,” Ajel newspaper said.

“When the department enquired about the missing name, they were told by the school management and the teacher’s family that he died four months ago.”
