Buses with gas cylinders seized in Dubai

Dubai’s police seized several company buses transporting gas cylinders and other dangerous items in violation of safety rules.

Traffic Police Chief Colonel Saif Al Mazroui said the buses have been seized in separate raids on vehicles over the past five months to ensure safety on roads.

He said some buses were caught transporting gas cylinders and other unsafe items among the nearly 9,780 vehicles involved in various offences.

“Those buses belong to companies and they are licensed to transport passengers. Carrying such dangerous items pose a threat to human lives and this is a serious violation of the rules,” he told 'Emarat Al Youm' Arabic language daily.
