A 41-year-old Iranian businessman, MAZ, allegedly assaulted his elder brother and his son, causing him five per cent permanent disability, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim TAZ, 45, businessman, testified that at around 8.30pm on May 20, he had a verbal fight with his younger brother which developed into a fight with hands.

“He held me and pushed me out of the house and because of the hard push I fell on the ground.  Then he sat on my legs until one of them got fractured,” he testified.

The victim’s 21-year-old son AMZ repeated the same testimony, adding that he intervened when he saw his father screaming in pain.

“My uncle also punched me on my face,” he said.

TAZ was rushed to the hospital where doctors reported that the victim had sustained five per cent permanent disability.

The records did not mention what was the reason of the fight.

The court will reconvene on March 24.
