A gruesome murder trial at the Abu Dhabi Criminal court has concluded with three of a family getting death sentences.
Three brothers who were convicted of killing two Omani nationals in Al Ain after a car chase have been sentenced to death.
They were also sentenced to six months in jail for illegal possession of guns and ammunition, reported Emarat Al Youm.
The fourth brother of the convicts, who was charged with pre-meditated murder, as well as two of their relatives, who were charged with sheltering the suspects, were acquitted by the court.
According to prosecution reports, the four suspects had planned to kill one of the victims to settle some old dispute between their families.
One of the suspects followed the victim’s car and forced him to stop after crashing in on him from behind.
