CCTV catches painter stealing jewellery

11 bracelets of 22 carat gold weighing 130 grammes and an earring of 2 grammes were stolen from a jewellery shop in Dubai by a maintenance company worker.

The shop’s manager Shabbir Ali Mohammed, 38, noticed the jewellery missing from one of the drawers while doing the daily inventory.

A review of the shop’s CCTV footage showed a painter stealing the jewellery.

The manager summoned all the workers doing maintenance work in the shop but they denied theft.

After the manager said he had the full recording of the theft, one of the workers admitted to stealing the jewellery.
