'CID' rob massage parlour attendant

A jobless man along with a fugitive allegedly robbed a massage parlour attendant after receiving massage services and claiming to be CID officers.

On July 10, at around 1am, RA, 29, Pakistani was at the massage centre when two men entered and asked him for massage.

“After they finished, they came to me while I was at the counter. One of them presented two cards claiming to be CID officers. When they asked me for my card, I pulled out my wallet and while I was doing that, one of them held my head and pushed it towards the wall. The other one opened the drawer and stole the money from it. When I argued with them that they cannot do this, they asked me to get down behind them to meet their senior whom they claimed they had informed,” said the victim.

The two left the flat and went down the building with the victim behind them while he called the police using his mobile.

Down the building, they met the watchman and they claimed before him that they were CID officers. While they were talking to him, a police patrol arrived and the two ran away. Police arrested AS, 27, Emirati, while the other man escaped. Police searched the accused and confiscated Dh1,040.

The court will reconvene on October 21.
