Domestic squabble ends in sword attack

A Gulf national who attempted to mediate and reconcile differences between a married couple was injured when he was allegedly attacked with a sword in Dubai, reported ‘Emarat Al Youm’.

According to medical reports, the victim suffered 40 per cent permanent disability in the attack.

The victim had gone to make peace between his niece and her husband, the eyewitness - who had accompanied him, told police.

According to the eyewitness, the victim spoke to his niece’s husband but then the conversation turned serious.

The eyewitness said that in the meantime, he had to leave to answer a call. But upon returning he found the victim on the ground covered in blood.

The girl’s husband allegedly attacked the victim with a sword and he took the blow on his head.
