A driver appeared to have taken so much drugs that he drove in the opposite direction in Fujeirah, unaware that he would attract the attention, and possibly, swearing by the other drivers before becoming a target for risky police chase.

When a police patrol, apparently summoned by other angry motorists, tried to stop the man, he refused. When the patrol chased him, his drugged brain seemed to have incited him to opt for a confrontation when he rammed into the police car.

But the driver and his friend who was sat next to him finally gave up when police back-up arrived. Both were found to be under the influence of drugs and a quick search of their vehicle showed they possessed hashish and heroin.

A criminal court which tried them on Tuesday adjourned hearings to November 27, according to local newspapers, which did not identify the two.
