Two cleaners had a fight over where and how to collect garbage, resulting in 35 per cent eye injury to one of them, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim, SSN, 25, testified that he was doing cleaning work at the Al Aweer Fruits and Vegetable market.

“I had a fight with my co-worker IMM about how to gather waste. He threw the brush at me and I instantly fell unconscious,” he testified.

Medical report stated that the victim sustained injuries in his eye from a sharp-edged tool, causing 35 per cent permanent disability.

The 29-year-old IMM is facing the charge of  physical assault that unintentionally caused permanent disability.

The court will give its verdict on June 23.
