Two men died in a flat from an overdose of heroin.

The men were preparing to go out to a night club with a girl who was with them.

Twenty-two-year old AM, Emirati student, only realized the following day that the two were dead and not asleep and she tried to flee from the flat.

AM went with the two men a day before their death to shoping mall in Jumeirah, then accompanied them to a flat in Al Warqa area.

One of them told her that he will go to get some heroine from AS.

“He left the flat and returned after about 15 minutes bringing with him some heroine. We prepared to go to a night club and while I was in the bathroom, they were taking heroin.

“As I got out I saw them as if they were sleeping. One of them was bending on the ironing desk while the other was on the floor snoring. I took very little heroin and then got into the bedroom and slept.

“The next day, I woke up and saw them in the same position. I realised that they were dead,” the girl told investigators.

AM called a friend and asked her to pick her up from Al Warqa area.

“As I got into the car of my friend who was accompanied by another friend and I told her what happened.

“The two women asked me to get off from the car as they did not want to be questioned regarding the death of the men,” she said.

However, AM called a male friend and asked him to pick her up. She also told him what happened in Al Warqa flat. He accompanied her to the flat and saw the two men dead, so he called the brother of one of the deceased.

The brother came and called the police.

Police arrested the heroine supplier AS, 27, a jobless Emirati who had a similar criminal record.

Urine tests of the girl and the supplier proved positive.

 Police confiscated a small quantity of heroin from the girl’s bag. The court will reconvene on April 5.
