Dubai student falls to death from 11th floor after fight at party
A British teenager plunged to his death from the 11th floor of a building under construction in Dubai on Friday .
According to media reports, 16-year-old Harry Harling, an Year 11 student of Jumeirah College, was partying with his friends and had allegedly had alcohol to drink.
Police are investigating the case, but initial reports suggest that the victim had an argument with his friends and walked out of the party and headed towards the construction site and fell down.
Major-General Khalil Al Mansouri, Head, Criminal Investigation Department, Dubai Police, said the student was at a party on Friday night where there were beverages served. However, no criminal intent has been suspected yet.
Meanwhile, the school has been co-operating with the investigations and has urged fellow students of the victim to assist police in helping solve the case at the earliest.
While Harry's friends and family have taken to social networking sites to pay their tributes, parents of teenagers in the Emirates have urged authorities to educate students of the consequences of underage drinking.
