Dubai villa owners find homes broken into

A villa robbing gang has been busted by Dubai Police.

The CID team of Dubai Police set into action following several complaints from villa owners that their homes were looted in their absence.

In the month of June, police received seven similar complaints, said
Major-General, Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director, CID, Dubai Police.

A group of three Africans, who were nabbed confessed to roaming around and looking out for villas whose owners were away.

Then they would plan their operation and break into the homes using heavy tools and make away with precious belongings such as jewels, money and even electronic items.

The fourth suspect managed to flee the country.And he is being pursued by the Interpol, the offical added.

Explaining the course of action, Al Mansouri, said that the police team circulated a list of stolen itens across all jewellery shops, ports and police stations in the UAE.

They also set up traps at potential other areas and soon the three suspects were zeored in on.
 
Several stolen items were confiscated from tehir possession and returned to the respective owners.

The suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution and legal action initiated against them.
