Duo robs Dubai cabbie of Dh400

A taxi driver was allegedly robbed at knife point by two passengers, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Tuesday.

The two suspects - 30-year-old Cameroonian and a Nigerian – hailed the victim’s cab to go to Hor Al Anz.

Upon reaching their destination, the suspect sitting beside the 28-year-old cabbie allegedly wielded a knife at him and asked him to hand over the cash he had.

The cabbie handed over Dh400 to him and both the suspects fled the scene, the court heard.

The driver then informed police.

The duo were arrested shortly.

Court to issue verdict on October 25.
