FB leads dad to missing teen daughter... shacked up with 4 boys

A young teenage girl, three teen boys and another 24-year old youth were all in court yesterday over charges that vary from illegal cohabitation to abduction.

In a case that once again highlights the unique place Facebook plays in the life of people, the 13-year old girl, at the heart of the case, told the court that this all began after she fled her home out of her own choice.

All four youth accused are of Asian nationalities.

The girl told the court she fled from her father's house on February 23, after a quarrel with her father, who she said is now married to another woman.

She added that she left him a message stating that she was leaving home because of problems with his new wife.

According to earlier testimony, the father received a phone call from a woman asking about the girl’s whereabouts.

The unidentified female caller told the father where his daughter could be found and said that she knew about her whereabouts from the Facebook account of one of the boys, which also had the mobile number of one of the other accused.

The father informed the police and the police arrested the girl and they youths and charged them all.

The defendants admitted they were together, but added that only one of them was in a romantic relationship with the girl.

On the other hand, the girl said that one of the accused was her boyfriend and she did spend the first night with the four accused in the apartment from where they were arrested.

One defendant kissed her on the first night. The following night she slept in a car with one of the defendants, but nothing physical happened between them, she said.
