Five 'stole' Dh625,502 from a travel agency

Five Afghanistanis allegedly broke into Al Ghaith and Al Musa Travel Agency and stole Dh625,502, the company’s revenue for a couple of days, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

According to the records, on March 28 at night they broke in through the bathroom window of the agency from the stair well of the Mezzanine floor of the building.

They opened all office and the store of the agency and stole the amount. Second Lieutenant Mohammed Darwish testified that police received a notification about a robbery at the agency at around 7.50am.

Tehadel Abdul Rahman Ashraf testified that the agency was closed at 8.30pm on Sunday March 27. The next day morning the cleaner informed him that the window of the bathroom in the upper floor was broken and the window in the stair well was not closed firmly.

All drawers and funds in the company were broken and documents were thrown around in a mess.

Investigations led to the arrest of RFN, 43, driver; and visitors NKB, 33, WMM, 34, HSR, 22 and MSS, 28 who reside in Ajman.
