Gang nabbed with 3,000 stolen tyres in Sharjah

A gang of seven Pakistanis and an Iraqi have been arrested in Sharjah. They specialized in stealing tyres.

About 3,000 car tyres, worth Dh7,000, were confiscated from their possession. They planned to sell them and make money.

Shrajah Police had been receiving complaints about car tyre thefts in the recent past.

Following the latest complaint from a company in Sharjah Industrial Area of missing tyres, the CID  team of the Police department tracked the suspects down.

The gang has confessed to the crime.

Sharjah Police have urged shopkeepers and warehouse staff not to purchase items without checking its source and credibility. They also requested public to alert police on any illegal and untoward dealings in their neighbourhood.
