A GCC national was referred to the Dubai Court after he bit a taxi driver's hand, the Arabic daily newspaper 'Al Khaleej' has reported.

The incident took place when the accused hired a taxi to go to a particular place.

A row started between the driver and the passenger when the latter refused to fasten his seat belt.

The passenger was also eating and drinking inside the taxi, which is against public transport rules in UAE.

According to the public prosecution, the passenger refused to follow the rules and insulted the driver which forced him to stop the car.

The police arrested the accused and referred him to the prosecution to take legal action.

The prosecution referred the accused to the court and the trial will be conduct next week before the Criminal Court in Dubai.
