Investors offer forged cash to businessman
Three presumed African investors offered forged money to an Emirati businessman in Ajman to enter a car distribution partnership with him.
The businessman, owner of a car showroom, met one of the three men after advertising for selling his vehicles online in the emirate.
One of the presumed investors told him he wanted to invest $10 million (Dh37m) in a car distribution agency and that he would send his brother with $3.5m to pay him as a first instatement.
When the other man met the Emirati, he offered him forged money for the project, prompting the businessman to inform the police.
After setting up a trap with the help of the Emirati, police arrested the three red handed and they confessed to the crime.
