Killer jailed for life in RAK

A criminal court in Ras Al Khaimah sentenced a 21-year-old Arab man to life in prison and ordered his deportation after he was convicted of murdering his 24-year-old friend from another Gulf country, the press reported on Wednesday.

Another Arab was sentenced to four years in jail and fined Dh10,000 for helping the killer and taking drugs while two other accomplices were fined Dh1,000 for failing to report the crime at the victim’s home in the northern Emirate.

Police arrested the four after the killer and his friend rushed the victim to hospital and left him in the car near the gate before fleeing.
