A Bangladeshi shepherd allegedly organised a gambling game in public at a sub-way on Bani Yas Street, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

On August 11, a tip-off was made to the police about a group of Asians gambling in a sub-way on Bani Yas street. Corporal Khalid Ahmad testified that he went with other colleagues to raid the place.

“We saw a man who had a belt and a screw driver on a desk in front of him and was calling people to play. Many people had surrounded him. He confessed after his arrest that he was organising a gambling game,” he testified.

When asked about his ID card, he said that he has quit his job, said the policeman.
