Man faces death for killing manager in RAK

A Bangladeshi man could be executed for murdering his manager in Ras Al Khaimah after the victim’s two Bangladeshi brothers refused to pardon the killer.

A court in the northern emirate had sentenced the defendant to death for killing his manager at a RAK-based company last year after he hit him with a sharp object on the head during an argument, prompting the killer to appeal the verdict.

During Tuesday’s trial, the victim’s two brothers rejected an appeal by the defendant to pardon him and demanded his death.

The trial was adjourned for sentence on February 15, according to newspapers.
