Sharjah authorities arrested an electronics shop owner for the illegal sale of decoder cards that unblock satellite TV porno channels.

Police said they seized a large quantity of such cards at the shop in Owair market and that its owners targeted mainly teen ager boys.

In a statement, police said the cards give access to eight porno channels and that the shop owner confessed to have bought those cards from a nearby emirate for Dh90 each, which he sold for Dh330.

“He was referred to the public prosecutor…promoting such cards among young men poses a threat to the society,” the statement said.
