A jobless Jordanian allegedly masturbated on the dress of a visitor while she was watching an aqua show at the Dubai Mall, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

EJ, 48, a Dutch visitor went to the Dubai Mall and stood at the fountain area watching the aqua show.

“The area was crowded with visitors when I felt someone sticking his body to mine from the back.

“He did that three times before I felt something on my leg.

“I turned back and hit the man on his shoulder before he ran away.

“I knew that he masturbated on my dress,” she told police.

The victim complained to the security staff, who began a search for the accused and an hour later, arrested him.

The prosecution could not listen to the victim’s testimony as she had already left the country.

The accused was referred to the court on charges of forcible sexual assault and committing an act of blatant public indecency

The court will issue its sentence on March 31.
