Man stabs hand 36 times in suicide bid
A man from another Gulf country stabbed his hand 36 times and lay bleeding on the road in Khorfakkan before he was taken by ambulance and rushed to hospital.
Police and medics went to the area in the eastern city after receiving calls from passers-by that a man was lying on the road and his arm was heavily bleeding.
Police said the man was treated for 36 stab wounds and an ensuing investigation showed that he had tried to kill himself.
