A foreman allegedly threatened a compatriot woman with posting a video of her having sex with him on the Internet if she did not pay him Dh30,000, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

BK, 35, Indian, admitted that he had sex with his friend’s wife several times in India and Dubai. He denied blackmailing the woman, claiming that he had lent money to the woman VM and asked her to return it.

He admitted to threatening her with posting her pictures and videos which he had recorded while having sex together to compel her to return his money.

“I knew VM when her husband, who is my friend, had asked me to intervene to help solve their matrimonial problems. My relation with the wife developed and we had sex three or four times. I lent her about Rs50,000 and when I asked her to return it, she refused. So I threatened her with posting the pictures and videos if she did not return me the amount,” BK, 35, told investigators.

The woman told her husband about being blackmailed by his friend.

“I had problems with my wife, so I sought the help of my close friend to solve them. The problems were never solved and later I knew that he had a relationship with my wife. She told me about her relationship with my friend when we were in India. Later she told me that BK is blackmailing her with videos he had recorded while they were having sex. He was asking her to pay him Rs50,000 against not posting these recordings,” the husband told the police.

The wife admitted that she had sex with the accused in Dubai and India two years ago.

The husband lodged a complaint with the police.

Police arrested BK who admitted to the relationship and claimed that he had threatened her to force her pay back the amount he had lent her.

BK is being prosecuted for threatening a woman with posting indecent pictures and videos.

The court will reconvene on March 29.
