Man with 100 heroin capsules in belly

An Asian man is on trial in Abu Dhabi after he was seized with 100 capsules of heroin hidden inside his belly, the press reported on Wednesday.

The man has just arrived at Abu Dhabi airport when he started to sway and looked pale and sick, which made airport customs and security suspicious.

Although they found no drugs after searching him and subjecting him to imaging, they took him to the hospital for scanning and treatment of fatigue.

“The big surprise was that the scan showed he had a large quantity of drug capsules inside his stomach. After they were removed from his stomach, police found they are 100 capsules of heroin weighing around 945 gm,” Emarat Alyoum daily said, adding that the defendant would be sentenced on Oct 28.
